Congress March Against Intolerance to Rashtrapati Bhawan

Amidst tight security, the senior leadership of the Congress, on November 3, marched up to protest against the growing ‘Climate of Intolerance’ that has gripped the nation. They have blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party, and the fringe groups associated with it for the growing violence against minorities in the country.
Joining the growing protest against the government by authors, scientists, playwrights and historians. They submitted a memorandum to the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee.
The march started from Vijay Chowk, lead by Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, followed by senior congress leaders such as Amrinder Singh, Mallikarjun Kharge, Salman Khurshid and others. The senior leaders held placards which said, ‘Those who spread hate, will themselves be on the receiving end of public ire’ and some other posters urged for religious harmony.
