Stalin, Kanimozhi held for rail roko on Jallikattu

Chennai: Scores of DMK workers, including party Working President and Opposition leader M K Stalin, and senior leaders were arrested across the State when they staged a rail roko agitation in support of Jallikattu. 

Police sources said Mr Stalin along with other DMK workers were arrested when he tried to block an EMU train at Mambalam Railway station in the city. Similarly, DMK Rajya Sabha member Ms Kanimozhi, former Union Minister Dayanidhi Maran, along with scores of DMK cadre were detained at the Egmore railway station in the city. Similar agitations were held across Tamil Nadu and DMK leaders, including former Ministers and MLAs courted arrest when they tried to block trains.
