New Delhi: With the latest counting trends showing BJP heading for a win by a large margin in the three MCDs, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today alleged that without Electronic Voting Machines being 'tampered' it would not have been possible and said it was not 'Modi wave' but 'wave of EVMs'.

Talking to the reporters here, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia said, "AAP will introspect. Without rigging EVMs it would not have been possible for BJP to win with such a margin. No one has given the answer on the tampered EVMs of Dholpur and Bhind."

Attacking the BJP, Sisodia said that BJP had raised the EVM tampering issue after their debacle in 2009 polls and even explained about it in the court. Their leaders had written books on the EVM system. Now, they are saying there is nothing wrong in EVMs. "One day the real fact over the EVMs will surface," he asserted.

Another leader of the party, Gopal Rai, attributed the victory of the BJP in the Municipal election to 'EVM tampering' and said it was not 'Modi wave' but 'wave of EVMs'.He also said that after the results are out, AAP will chalk out its future strategy. Meanwhile, AAP Chandni Chowk MLA Alka Lamba announced her resignation from the Assembly and other posts of the party for defeat of three candidates in her constituency. She announced this on micro-blogging site twitter.

The AAP has raised a question-mark on the working of the EVMs and has warned to launch an agitation on the issue. A total of 54 per cent voters had exercised their franchise in the elections to the 270 wards of the MCDs.
