New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted raids at about a dozen places in the Kashmir valley in connection with alleged terror funding from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), official sources said here on Wednesday. NIA personnel, assisted by local Crime Branch (CB) and state police raided about a dozen places in Srinagar and Tangmarg in Baramulla district and Handwara in the frontier district of Kupwara since early Wednesday morning.

New Delhi: A series of ceasefire violation and shelling by Pakistan in two differed parts of Kashmir on Saturday has left a soldier wounded and civilian dead. After militants opened fire on an Army building late Friday night in Kalaroos in frontier district of Kupwara, Sunil Randhawa of the 17 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) sustained injuries, defence ministry spokesman, Col Rajesh Kalia told UNI.
New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs announced on Saturday that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid O Meredov will visit India on a three-day trip starting Sunday, August 13.
During his stay in the national Capital, Meredov will hold meeting with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday. This will be followed by delegation level talks, according to an official source here. There will be also signing of the Protocol for the 6th Session of Inter Governmental Commission.
