The BJP said on Tuesday that Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and party president Rahul Gandhi will have to apologise to the Hindu community of India for defaming them globally and taking Hindus for granted.
Addressing a press conference, party’s spokesperson Sambit Patra and GVL Narasimha Rao said, “BJP has demanded apology from Sonia and Rahul (on behalf of) the country for coining the term ‘Hindu terrorism’ and ‘saffron terrorism.’”

One of the accused in the Kathua gangrape on Monday demanded from the court a narco-test for all those accused in the rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl from the Bakarwal community. However, the Chief Judicial Magistrate has postponed the next hearing of the case to April 28, court sources here told UNI. Facebook said on Wednesday that the personal information of up to 87 million users may have been improperly shared with political consultancy Cambridge Analytica, up from a previous news media estimate of more than 50 million.
Facebook Chief Technology Officer Mike Schroepfer shared the higher number as part of a corporate blog post about steps the company was taking to restrict the personal data available to third-party app developers.
Most of the 87 million people were in the United States and the United Kingdom, Schroepfer wrote in the blog post.
