JD(S) makes most of a fractured BJP in Karnataka

The woes of a fractured Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming Karnataka State Assembly Elections have worsened with Anand Asnutikar, joining the Janata Dal (S) on Monday, January 15. Asnutikar, a former Minister in the Yedurappa government, is one of the BJPs most senior leaders in its bastion of Uttara Kannada. At a function held in his constituency, the leader along with several of his followers, joined the JD(S) in the presence of its founder and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and his son HD Kumaraswamy.
