Karnataka govt releases Rs 671 cr compensation to farmers

Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today said that the government had decided to release Rs 671 crore compensation towards crop loss to nearly 10 lakh farmers who were

deeply affected by drought that is prevailing in the State for thesecond successive year. 

In a Twitter message the farmers will get compensation in form of input subsidy and it will be transferred directly to their bank accounts.
